What should I do to get my boyfriend back?

He says it’s because he doesn’t feel anything, and all he ever feels is sad, angry, or excited; he’s never really happy. You cant at the moment just give him space for a while and then try again. Absense makes the heart grow fonder

If he doesn’t want to be with you and if he is not happy with you then let him go. By trying to win him back you make yourself look desperate and foolish. If you do manage to win him back it will likely be temporary and more likely than not he will resent you for it later
